imagine2Registration is now open for the Summer Reading Challenge. This year's theme is "Imagine Your Story," and the possibilities are endless, with offerings for babies through adults! Watch this space for information about prizes, virtual programs, and more! Get started by preregistering for the challenge. For more information on the program and how to register, click here. Program runs June 12-July 31. You do not need a library card to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge, but you do need to be a Williston or St. George resident.

Mondays at noon on Zoom. Join us for a moment of peace with Maryellen Krangle as she guides children through a 15-minute meditation. Dottie the Bookmobile will be making the rounds this summer, with materials for kids and adults! We are introducing themed book bags for easy pickup, and staff will be on hand to help you make selections. We will also have weekly "to go" craft kits, Watershed Explorers activity booklets, and information about our Summer Reading Challenges and other library programs and services. Menus will be available to help choose items from Dottie. We've attached them here for you to review!

Comic Workshop Series for Teens & Adults

zuppoJoin cartoonist Stephanie Zuppo on Zoom for a workshop series on comics and cartooning where you'll learn about world building, character design, and the process of making a comic. Bring your stories to life in this fun and engaging series! Stephanie Zuppo is a cartoonist, graphic designer, and educator originally from Philadelphia, PA, but currently living in Burlington, VT. They received their BFA in Illustration and Design at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia and an MFA in Comics at The Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont.

Imagine your story... as an author!

keeprunningJoin local author Taylor Antonioli for an online workshop series as she guides children ages 8-12 through the writing process in a fun and engaging way. Participants will learn to create characters and build a world to bring to life. It's time to tap into your imagination and write your story! Thursdays, July 9, 16, and 23 at 3pm via Zoom. Taylor has been a Williston resident her whole life, though she’s in Burlington now as she heads into her second year at Champlain College, where she studies as a Professional Writing major. She's published two books as part of a series about a teenager dealing with discovering she's a werewolf. You can find her books in the YA section at the library.
